Human Resources Generalist

Position Summary

Wentana, LLC is a restaurant franchise organization that owns and operates 17 restaurant locations across the State of Montana. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist for our Billings, MT corporate office. This role will be in direct contact with restaurant employees and work side by side with the restaurant leadership team to support restaurant operations. As an HR Generalist you will provide comprehensive HR support including recruitment, retention, performance management, employee relations, and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment for our restaurant locations
  • Provide employee relations support (counseling and conflict resolution)
  • Conducting complex/sensitive employee investigations
  • Administer our benefit programs (Health, Dental, Vision, Dependent Care, Tuition Reimbursement)
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Assure company policies are administered fairly and consistently
  • Develop and conduct training for restaurant management teams
  • Perform other HR duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • Ability to travel to restaurant locations throughout the state when required (up to 25%).
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations preferred.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in HR Generalist role required.
  • Professional HR certification required – SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
